My SmallHD DP6 Needed Repair. Over $200. Worth It?

I like my DP6 but after less than two years the scroll wheel only scrolled to the right making it impossible to get to the all the functions and intermittent connections issues via HDMI.

I decided to send it in for repair to see how much it would cost. Today I got an email stating to fix it it would cost $218 shipped. The main board and scroll wheel plus labor comes to $175. Shipping is a whooping $45. Crazy expensive shipping.

I'm debating on going through with it. I'm 50/50. $218 is a lot to fork out on a monitor that got very little use since I owned it. It's a good monitor but worries me if I will get my moneys worth in the repair and also seems a little high considering it's been discontinued. Whats your'e thoughts on this. I need to make a decision soon.

Anyone else have their SmallHD fail earlier than expected? I remember them throwing the monitors around and kicking them to show how tough they are but......

If i had to do it again i would stay away from SmallHD (especially the DP6). If i had to do it again i would go with TVLogig - more expensive but also way more pro in image reproduction.
