Hey guys-
Long time no post. I have been hanging at 999 posts for weeks now hoping I'd get to contribute to the 1,000 post frenzy. God knows, this board has helped me COUNTLESS times, so I figured it was the least I could do. However, I have been so busy working on my thesis and graduating just HAD to take precedence.
Well, I just got home from sitting in the lab at school all day (its 1am) and sitting on my kitchen table was my brand new shiny Dell E1505 laptop. She is SEXY! I just had to start her up and take her for a test run. I mean, I'm even getting wireless internet right now, and I dont even have a wireless router. Go figure.
Recently, Ive seen some laptop posts, so, I wanted to post one myself...in (temporary) lieu of a video. Its my first laptop, so I was giddy. I figured many of you gear-lusting-whores could appreciate.
Its too soon to comment on her performance. But I can share her specs...I will start by saying DELL was just asking too much for the 7200rpm hard drive. So, I chose space (100gigs at 5400rpm) over speed. I hope that doesn't haunt me. My desktop has a couple of WD raptor HD at 10,000rpm, so if I NEED the speed, I will hope I am home...
