My new website!

I think your site looks like a solid headshot photography site. It's a sad fact that people will have trouble navigating through it, but it is the truth. Why? Because most people, especially actor/waiters in los angeles, are computer tards.

So to simply prevent that I strongly suggest that you keep everything you have exactly the way it is - however - I would put your contact info and your basic rates right on your homepage. either up top in the white to the right, or down below. This can be small, sleek, and simple - but then you have all your business info on one page. You already have great photo examples on that page, so you'd cover all your bases. Without clicking, someone could go there and go: wow, his headshots look great, I want one, how much do they cost - oh, that much, okay, I can do that... how do I contact him... oh, there's his email, great.

That's the web business - make things as simple and direct as possible. The rest is gravy for those that want to explore.

Also, have an alternate non-flash page, that looks the same without animation, for those who still don't have flash... this is just as a precaution, it can be simple, but you should have all your key info there.

I do suggest losing the calendar - I know you are being progressive and giving people a new, and more efficient way to book with you - but again, think of your targets - they probably can barely handle their phones and email, and you want little margin of error. You WANT them to call and email you, it's the most direct way - so make it that simple.

Great work, trust me, your site is far better than your competitor Mr. Big Shot (kevynmajorhoward.com)

Oh, one last thing, I'm curious, when you shoot outside, what are you doing with your strobe to get that soft frontal fill? are you bouncing off an umbrella with a single source?

Zoo, awesome thoughts, I'm on it!

Oh, I use an off-camera sb600 with silver reflector umbrella. BUT, that's all about to change starting tomorrow. I bought some new toys, I'll post my results.

Thanks guys!
