What it is?...What it is? Could be a nanno bot, could ya post a dime next to it so I can get the size? Where does the DVX go? Huh, Pookie, Huh!

I was expecting something a bit more phallic from this thread.

Your little helicopter is cool though.

ahaha what'd that set you back? And does it just use RC helicopter fuel?

I used to fly planes all the time and was really close to flying helis but then I sort of lost interest. Hell, if I could combine flying planes with filmmaking, we'd be in business.

and it uses jet fuel, correct?

There was a turbine RC jet that a buddy of mine bought for 9 grand I believe. He spent 3 months building it, and right before the flight season ended, he took it out for the first time. Needless to say, there wasn't enough runway space and he crashed and burned. The guy was heartbroken.

So just be careful :) lol

What radio/servo set does it use? I'm just curious how modified this is, in comparison to standard RC helicopters.

I'm using a Futaba 9 channel 9Z WC2 http://www.futaba-rc.com/radios/futj9000.html.

It can be set to do pretty much everything you could want.

I've been flying helicopters for 15 years not, with my far share of 3D competitions over the years. My focus puller has over 20 years flying, and is a past champion.
I've been doing second unit work flying for the past 5 years now.
My Steadicam career is slowly coming to a close.....there's no such thing as an old Steadicam operator, so I'm going in this direction. MUCH easier on the knee's and back.
