I've never been to Cali before. I'm going to LA for a Film Festival next Month(www.abff.com) August 7-10 and I just wanted to get some help in finding a reasonal Hotel to stay for a couple of days, I would appreciate any help.

The Festival will be around the Sofitel Hotel(www.sofitella.com) which is located on 8555 Beverly Boulevard, LA, CA 90048.

The Sofitel Hotel is way to expensive for my budget... maybe someone can help me save a few hundred bucks...

When I was in town last weekend I got a great deal at the Double Tree in Commerce. It is right next to the Citadel shopping outlets if that is your thing and they give you warm chocolate chip cookies upon arrival! This might be a bit out of your way (it was for us to, but it was worth it). The price was reasonable, the place was very nice, the staff was friendly and they had free computers with internet in the lobby. PM me if you want more info on this hotel or others.

PS: I know Jason Rasey got a good deal through Priceline's name your own price. He put in $50, LAX area and 3 stars and got a nice 1 bedroom suite for that price. Best of luck!
 
Hi, I'm going to this as well.

I went last year and had a blast!

I stayed at the Westin at LAX last year and a few of my buddies got a great rate at the Holiday inn LAX.

It was a bit away from the event but we rented a car and the drive wasn't bad at all.

People say how bad the LA traffic is but it doesn't have anything on chicago.

According to Priceline the Raddison LAX offers a fairly reasonable rate.
