I think I'm overly excited about it because I had a dream about it last night. The HVX was like a Transformer ("More Than Meets The Eye") robot when I tried to switch from camera to deck mode. I was like "Whoah, so unnecessary but so awesome!" :D

Then I woke up. :)

So who else on here is excited and expecting to get one in the intial shipment?!

I am happy that lots of people will be testing it out before I plunk down the cash.
 
I second that notion.

A very sincere thanks to the intrepid explorers who are cutting a swath through the P2 jungle making sure the path is safe for the rest of us.
 
It would be fun that waiting after the intrepid explorers´s test work to convince us, we would finish plunkin the money a day before a new model arrives...
 
I am waiting with bated breath for the barrage of "My HVX200 ACTUALLY arrived today, no seriously this time!!!" threads

Ditto. I'm not sure that I'll ever have the need to step up to the HVX, but if I do, I hope I'll still be a Vegas user.:undecided

FCP have just released new update downloadable that support all hvx modes

Now even though I would have disagreed with you a few months ago, I have to agree that it really is the person behind it. But I think if someone still needs to master something then do it, just in case you use it as a back up....hehe.
 
All the evidence I've seen suggests that when the postings come out from the first buyers, I expect to see things like, "WOW ... Great Camera ... Kicks A** ...." Most feel the camera will be an outstanding camera, BUT there is some doubt in their minds. The first postings from the first buyers, should erase all doubt. The first problem is waiting the 1 to 2 weeks before those postyings appear. :grin:

The second problem is having to wait for your HVX-200 to come! :grin: :grin:

i'm sorry, but i don't think this is funny. i'm so tired of hearing about this stupid HVX. I wanted to finally see some footage. Then i gotta deal with something that I have to deal enough with enough in my everyday life ("you've won a million dollars"... if you send this back with your credit card number). I know it was meant in jest, but people are starting to get a little touchy about this phantom camera, and posting a subject line that will prey on this will put some over the edge.
 
Sorry to push some people over the edge. I was in a goofy, excited mood when I originally posted that.

However, the HVX is NOT a phantom camera as I've ACTUALLY tinkered with it at the recent DV Expo West. It is very real and truly amazing. That is a big part of the reason I am so excited. There is plenty of footage samples to be seen. Just check the HVX200 Latest News section on this forum.

And I promise no more misleading headlines from me. I think I got it out of my system. :)
