my home depot 35mm adapter

disrepleasures

hey everyone, i have almost completed building my home depot 35mm adapter (just a fun project) all i need to do is build the wax focusing screen (http://www.jetsetmodels.info/tutorials.htm) for my static gg holder.

I used:
a 58mm +10 bower macro lens
58mm to 72mm step up ring
male and female pvc piping
static gg holder to hold my homemade focusing screen
and a minolta lens

I have put the lens on the camera, and find that once zoomed in i cant get the image to focus, now im hoping that this is because i dont have a focusing screen but i was just wondering if anyone could explain to me what exactly the focusing screen does!

do you think it will work?

seriously? the focusing screen is what the 35mm lens projects the image onto, and the camera records it from behind. you might need a macro lens in there so your vx can focus on the screen
