My green screen algorithm

I don't know if any of you do any green screen work, but I do a lot.

I have been using keylight for a couple of years, although a great piece of software, it still has limitations..

I had an idea for a new type of green screen system, basically after the matte is created, there should be an option to make this a vector mask, and then allow the user to make manual tweaks on certain points, i.e. around the ears etc (common problem areas)

I know this wouldn't be useful with thin stuff like hair etc, but it would be great to isolate the main matte and then the hair could be a separate matte that is later blended on...

I was wondering if there already is any software that allows this level of control

You can use something like mocha from imagineer systems. It is a 2.5D planar tracker. You can use it track and export mattes of problem areas.

Thank you sir you have given me an excellent idea, I'll look into this, it may be possible to develope this into an AE plugin...

Vector keying was developed and patented by Serious Magic and then Adobe bought the company.
