Back in the late 70’s and early 80’s I played with a band named Timothy Jinx. We were just a neighborhood band but we got around a little bit. We used to write songs and record them in what was my bedroom at my parent’s house. The equipment we had was crap and we had no idea what we were doing.
But I’ve hung on to those tapes for almost 30 years now. My initial intention was to digitize the reels of tape and simply restore and remix the songs into the best they could be. I quickly realized that many of the recordings and performances were very bad – funny how your memory works. So, I decided to retain and polish up the vocal tracks and completely re-record all of the music. So, what you hear is a song written by my buddies and me back in the very early 80’s. The music is new but the vocal track is 30 years old. Let me know what you think!
