my free dolly

i have a bogen 3127 dolly that i got for free. i was wondering if its any good, or at least decent. (i guess you cant really beat free)

It's great for what it's for (repositioning a tripod) but it's not really designed to replace a smooth track-riding dolly.

I agree. I never used something like that, but i guess that the surface should be super smooth, and still the center of gravity would be probably too high causing less control and more vibrations.
