my gf just got a nikon d70s and i was inspired by the LAX/599 productions thread that popped back up here a couple days ago.

it's lame cause it's just out my window, but let me know what you think, i'm going to try a skyline/sunset tonight (gonna have the gf who is a pro photographer help set up the first shot for me:))

Not too shabby for a first try, one definately gets the feeling of time lapse. I have seen a ton of these now, and while I appreciate the effort, I would like to see some different subject matter than scenery! Not to take away from your work, I'm just getting tired of clouds. Like I said though, real good for a first shot at it. I think time lapse has great potential as a visual artform, it just needs perhaps a little story to give it strength. Good work.

hey man, good job with the time-lapse.

here's my suggestion though,
if you want a nice timelapse with clouds, frame it against something totally unmoving, like a building, or a mountain. When you have little leaves and branches moving around, it kinda takes away from the greatness of the clouds. do i make any sense?

yeah, that first one was just a test, just hooked it up to the computer and shot. but that totally makes sense. I think just clouds is kinda boring.

Unfortunetly, i have to have a minimum 1 second interval between shots when i hook it up to the PC, i might try it by remote to get a different look.
