This is a 180 degree panoramic shot of a highway in Eastern Washington.

Eight pics stiched together. Shot with Canon 10D @ 28mm. Photoshop CS2 to composite.

Thanks for checking it out.

Love it. That sky is sweet looking. The left side of the pic with the road and the sky is a great picture in itself. I say we start a panoramic thread.

Thanks guys. Didn't know if anyone noticed, but the rays of light coming from the upper-leftish corner of the frame were added in Photoshop. Everything else is real, though.

Canon PhotoStitch makes doing these a breeze. 4 snapshots taken with Canon G5 connected:

Jokhang temple in Lhasa, Tibet.

In this kind of shots the only problem are the people who move and might appear in sevaral places in the final picture.

Here is another:

a handheld 360 panorama with G5. You can see how the PhotoStitch curves the frames to make them match (turns the planar projection pictures into a cyliderical projection).

All panoramas turn out first like the second one, but usually you want to reframe them a bit to make them presentable like the first one.

I just discovered the 'warp' transformation function in photoshop...oh man it's great for dealing with panoramics where you're stitching images of an interior shot together. I'm doing some virtual tours right now and for awhile they weren't lining up all that great, but the warp function makes it easy to manipulate points inside the layer. Since the virtual tour program distorts things anyways, the warp function is a great little tool.

Hey guys,

Im trying to pull off some panoramics too, whats the best way to shoot em?
And how about editing? so far, Im doing it manually by eye in photoshop. Any programs out there you recommend?
