My first music video

In about a week and a half I am filming my first music video for a local band. The way the video is suposed to go will be a mix of a live footage and a story along with it. So when you watch it it jumps from the story to a live performace, to the story again. For the live performance we are going to be a two camera setup - my DVX and my friend using his FX1. Do you guys have any tips or links for shooting a band's live performance so that when I'm editing I can edit it together pretty seamlessly? Thanks, I appreciate it!

since you wont be able to sync time code - you should record sound on both cameras- If they are relatively the same distance from the speakers you can use the sound to sync the images so that you can switch back and forth in the NLE

Someone here said they used a camera flash to sync cameras, start the camera both facing the camera and set off the flash. I did this a few weeks ago for a dance recital and it worked perfect.
