MUZZLE flash*

I got myself some guns off internet for my future short films and for the first time done muzzle flash effect... Does it look "real" or good enough? If not... what should I do to improve it?

Also I edited it in... Sony Vegas Pro 12... Surprise! lol

Comparing it to movies, because here in the UK we think guns are not for people to own or use - so I've never seen a real one fire for real - it looks good. From the front you can't see the slide move back (or rather not), but the side on view looks good to me, but clearly there's no recoil and rechamber, which kind of spoils it a bit.

agree! I have NO idea about guns so when I uploaded it, couple of people mentioned that as well... I did some blowback in post but didnt bother to uploaded.

Yes, looks good. So much better than a real gun flash. BTW, you can do some comparisons with real flashes from gun nuts on the web, look nothing like what movie audiences want to see, or with old noir movies - the latter often shoot out a few sparks.
