My first celebrity interview via email - Dave Hester from "Storage Wars."

Charli

cool little "title"
This is my first celebrity interview, though via email, and it was really cool. I don't know how many of you watch Storage Wars but my boss gave me the chance to write him a list of interview questions. It took two rounds of emails because I had to ask him to elaborate on a few points. To the mods here I am paid per article, not how much traffic an article gets, so doesn't matter if just one person reads it. I'm just stoked!

I just wanted to share my first celeb interview: http://auctionstx.com/where-is-dave-hester-now/

Next month I get to interview John Kunkle from Container Wars and it's been cleared with TruTV. Very cool to have seen the letter from the creative team from TruTV talk about me and ask me to wait until July.

So, this is cool. Here I am in the freakin' desert surrounded by dirt and I get to interview someone on TV. When I lived in Santa Monica surrounded by TV and movie stars I didn't do squat! Irony is not lost on me.

Enjoy!

Nice. Storage Wars gets heavy airtime in our household. Not a fan of Dave but, having worked on reality tv, I realize that may not be an accurate portrayal.

Batutta - Had I not asked him to elaborate on a few questions, trust me, it would have read a whole 'nother way. He was very cryptic in his original response and yes, a bit arrogant. I gave him the opportunity to let people see "more" of him. What impressed me was his charity work. He really is involved in St.Jude's and has been for a long time. I'll give him that.

What I found most interesting was his regret on even being on the show and he would not elaborate on that. The further down on the questions as you read about being "misunderstood" and "surprise people about him" - yeah, that really sounded like the guy we watched on Storage Wars.

Even the question about "branding" himself - well, that shows us how he still feels about the cast mates on the show. Travis, my boss, spoke to him for an hour and Dave actually was very nice to talk on the phone. So, who knows. But no one forced Dave to call anyone a "puke." Love him or hate him. No in between it seems.
