My FCP won't open-

It's quite a problem because I have been editing a music video for quite a while now. But suddenly, my FCP won't open any longer. It opens and it automatically shuts down...

Would someone please tell me what's wrong with my FCP?

Sounds like you've been playing with the files?

Or

When you last saved you project, how did you save it?

Did you save it as is?

I copy all of my projects to my external HD just in case something like this does happen.

All my work is saved in my HD...

it opens and automatically closes...

Try deleting the FCP preference files, this seems to be a case.

(You'll loose all your custom preferences, but hey, at leas it will be look as good as new...)
