G'Day everyone,

I have made quite a few videos with VFX in my YouTube channel and in the link below contains the ones that I had more fun in staging them

I'd appreciate if you have a look and let me know your opinion in particularly if you liked any of them

Have an awesome weekend
Carlos

You are off to a good start. But it's just a start. Keep learning and never settle for anything less than what you think is great, and everyone else says the same thing. (Not just friends. You now have a huge resource here willing to step up and be honest with you and assist you in becoming great at VFX)

Not meaning to discourage you, rather, encourage you to take it to the next level because now you have some of the basics down. You now understand some of the theories behind VFX. Now let's make it not look "VFX", but make it look real. That is the goal of every VFX artist.

Please take this as constructive criticism, by no means am I trying to stifle your creativity. You ARE off to a good start, but you still have a long ways to go, and if we can assist you, just ask.

Scene 1: Interesting, but where else will this effect be used? Gunflash lasted 1 frame.

Scene 2: I could see a use for this in a film.

Scene 3: Edges too sharp, screams "VFX". Odd coloring too.....detracted from the scene.

Scene 4: Unless you are shooting for Benny Hill, I don't understand the purpose of the scene. Plus the edit points were obvious, need to smooth those out so the viewer does not see them.

Scene 5: The titled "effects" - lose them. Those are cheesy effects. You are more talented than that, I can see it. Take it higher.

Scene 6: Gunshot - LOL, you are talking to an armorer here. Gunflashes don't look like that, and you need to sell the fact you are shooting a pistol. Never saw anyone shoot one with that smooth of a recoil reaction. Tank was so out of match with the BG plate. Take it into photoshop to match it up.

Scene 7: The animation I liked visually.

In VFX, the less you can tell it is VFX, the better of a job you have done. Just something to consider.
