In my honor of my very firstest post, # 1, NUMBER ONE, on DVXuser, I made a genre film (homemade video).
For this tremendous undertaking (bored on a Friday night), I bought a Varicam (borrowed handicam from cuz), 3 point kino lighting setup (75w GE bulb), color corrected gels (Ikea lampshade) and a full-rig steadicam (uncle’s tripod). It was shot in 1080/24p (DV), native 16x9 (croptop), captured 10bit uncompressed HD 4:4:4 via HD-SDI (firewire) and output to 70mm film (QuickTime6) for simultaneous global IMAX theatrical release (video.google.com). The audio was mastered (overdubbed) using a 24bit/192khz Dolby Digital/DTS-ES 7.1 THX hard disk recording system through fiber optic toslink cable (computer speaker to mono on-camera mic).
The CGI HD VFX shots (3 plain titles, 1 lame morph attempt, 1 really scary zoom) required the processing power of my in-house supercomputing X-Grid multi-tasking multi-machine cluster renderfarm (I made coffee and toast at the same time my iMac rendered video).
This is an homage (spoof) to Barry Green’s (my hero) 10,000th post and the video (2 Chinese students) starring him and Jarred (DVX God) listed in a previous thread (use search u n00b).
This totally original unique noveau piece (multiple copyright violations, overexposed played out concept) should win me industry accolades for years to come (my kids will be in therapy for decades).
