Kinda useless.. but my Canon Rebel XT (more specifically the Stabalized lens) has a 72mm mount... which is cool cause you can use all your filters, matteboxes, etc on the still camera, polarizers, UV, etc. You can also put the anamorphic lens on it which might be interesting.

ha ha.. other way around the camera is compensating, just trying to get it up to "Jarred " Size Scale.

You could shoot a stop-motion animated 35mm feature film... anamorphic no less!

thats the scary thing.. these things shoot at 8fps.. its only a matter of time before they shoot 24fps.. then were talking.

thats not that big of a problem Sirius.. as flash memory speeds are almost fast enough to eliminate the need of a buffer.. and even so ram prices are so cheap it wouldnt be impossible to put a gig of buffer in there.

Its not that far off.. my Canon elph can shoot 30fps of 640x480, im sure in less than five years when HDTV comes to hold, it will jump to 720p resolution.

This would be an interesting way to do resolution tests on the new 35mm adapters which are coming out.

And yeah, those things are TINY. They feel like point and shoots, but the images are just awesome.

I wanted to get one for my B-day, but something told me to wait. How do you like the Rebel XT Jarred? Good camera? I've already got a good 5.0 megapixel Canon Powershot A95, but it doesn't get eveything that I want it to sometimes with or without the telephoto and wide angle lenses =P.

rebel xt is the best camera I have had. I put on the battery grip and the angled finder and it seems to be the perfect camera for me. The only thing that takes me some getting used to with digital SLR's is that when you do an iris change, you cant see it visually until after you take the photo.

Oh man, the digital rebel xt is amazing. The Nikon d70 feels a lot more solid, but the xt is super tiny and takes amazing pictures. Shutter lag is almost nonexistant, it shoots really fast, and the software the comes with it is great. RAW mode has spoiled me completely, too, as has grainless 400ISO. Seriously, the photos look better than film in most ways. Totally worth it, imo.
