My DVD's look better through iDVD rather than DVD Studio Pro...why?

i've exported my movie shot in 720/24pn and output it through DVDSTP 4 and i looks like it was shot on my $300 camcorder.

i exported through idvd just to test and it looks slightly better. it looks "cleaner" overall.

is there a dvd quality setting in DVDSTP that allows you to adjust the compression quality or something?
 
Use Compressor for encoding--it will give you the best results, assuming of course that you spend some time learning what the settings do and which is best for each job.
