My DIY Adapter Problems....Help!!!

Hi...
OK this is my configuration:
I'm using a Mamiya body with Thorlabs ground glass 1500 grit...Two together facing matte inside. Lens 80mm 2.8F...Camera Sony HVR-A1U

The problems I'm having are:

1-I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but the image is clearer in the center.
2-Too grainy
3-I don't know if with this camera that ships with a macro, I still have to use a achromat.

I'm using the body of the Mamiya as the extension. I placed the diffuser at the end of the body where the film is supposed to be.
I have already made some test, but it turns out to be or too white washed or too dark with center too clear. And above all too grainy.
Is this configuration too wierd?

I'm really new at this and I would like all the advise and suggestions from you...

Thank you.

Polanski,

I use mamiya lenses on my adapter. Its a difficult thing to use the body. Too heavy and hard to configure your GG to spin or vibrate. FORGET trying to go with static. what body are you using. the RB or the 645?

Ted

PS. PM me and i'll be willing to correspond with you through IM so you can save time on R & D.
