My daughter got a driver's license!

Okay, she is 16 yrs old, has a Lincoln Towncar, and her BRAND NEW driver's license isnt even cooled yet from coming out of the printer at the DMV. I'm not sure what I am supposed to do. She is a good driver, prob better when I am not in the car with her having heart attacks... and today, she has gone to a friend's house and to the library. She has my cell phone, ATM card, and curfew of 7:00pm....that is just 45 minutes away. She hasnt called me yet. But I didnt tell her to. But certainly, she would know I am on pins and needles to know that she got her tank gassed up with no prob, that she made it to her friend's house, or that she jsut hasnt killed anyone. Yes, that would be nice.

This feels weird. I'm not ready! I'm not ready!!!!!

Maybe I should drive to the library. I followed her school bus the first time she rode one to school in elementary, jsut to make sure nothing happened. hmmmm....I'm afraid to get on my phone in case she calls. My GOD! Is this what I have to look forward to? ahhhhhggghhh!!!

I'm sorry, I know this is a camera forum and all, but I didnt know who else to talk to! I cant get on my landline. You know, in case she calls or something and needs me. :D

Does she drive an automatic transmission? I'm a fan of manual myself (though I am NOT a big car guy). It's good that shes a good driver! Too many bad ones out there! Every time I hit the road I see at least several possibly fatal actions :o

EDIT: Though I am sure that's what you needed to hear right now :-X

HaHa. Get used to it. No matter how good and responsible they are, they never think about calling. I have a daughter thats 17, and one almost 15. The 17 year old is in National Honor Society, and is usually pretty responsible, but she ALWAYS forgets to call! Sorry, but get used to it.

My son starts Kindergarden this coming year. I am so freaked out about it; like these teachers give a damn about my son. I'm already sweating it. I cant even imagine him driving!

Yeah, thanks Shaw!! :-/ Those possibly fatally flawed driver people better stay away from my girl!!! Yes, she is driving an automatic. The Lincoln was the biggest car I could find for her. And the ONLY car as it was my mom's. heh! :)

I will never get used to this. Ever.

I'm sure she will be ok. I've yet to run myself out of gas at least! I've come close :D but you would be surprised how long a car can drive on mere fumes, heh. I'm a first child so my parents were always concerned about me. By the time the others (assuming you have more than one kid) get around to the same age though you'll be shoving them out the door to get their license as soon as possible so you don't have to haul them around!

She's my only one. So I am spastic. 'sokay... The tv isnt on so I can hear her drive up. Is it 7:00p yet?

;D She LITERALLY came in the front door with 4 seconds to spare by my watch (which is the only one that matters!)

whew.... now time to get my nerve pills!
