Hi, these are my compression settings for the web, i was wondering if it was good.
I have a camcorder HXR-NX30U (AVCHD)

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ANY ADVICES

Video compression
Codec
H.264 (high profile) or baseline

Bitrate encoding
VBR 2 pass

Frame size

720p is best for web

Frame rate
24p
Same as your source
(if your footage exceed 30fps,
Encode at 50% that time rate
Example : If you shot 60fps, set it to 30fps)

Target bit rate
2 Mbps

Max bitrate
2.4 Mbps
Much motion in the video ?higher bit rate necessary to have it look good

Key frame distance
since its 24p, i will use 120
(Not a lot of movement : 5 times the framerate
Lot of movement 2-3x the framerate
(2x in an article)

Example : 24p (120, 48-72)
60p (300, 120-180)
Vimeo says keyframe distance unchecked
Level
4

Use « maximum render quality »
Don’t use « render at maximum depht »

Audio compression
Codec
AAC-LC
(chose dolby instead of PCM)
Data rate
320kbps
Sample rate
48kHz
Bit depht
24bits
