Drove over to Glendale Arizona last night to tape my 75 year old mother's 1st musical at Sun City (I mention this for sympothy) and parked outside my sister's house and someone broke out my back window and stole my DVX100.

It was in a gray hardshell case circa 1955. The words Property of Art Vitarelli were written in black sharpie ink.

It also had the recharger hook ups two batteries and s video cable and RCA audio cables.

I had a cleaning tape, and one blank TDK tape and one opened TDK tape.

There was also a sachler shoe.

Call Craig at 949 - 337-3955 714 538-2484 949-777-1070

Thanks Guys

how would anyone here know? my friend had his stuff stolen. you need to call the cops right away. were you working for a company? he was, their insurance covered it. sorry about your luck.

Called the police and already did a report. He said he would put the detectives on it right away.
I was coming over here from CA just on a short vacation just to tape my mom's musical at her community theater. This was pleasure not work.

I have insurance but I would like to get the case back. It has quite the history.

Craig

I called the insurance companies and the police so the search is on.
Anyway I need to round up a camera for tonight so if any of you fellows live in Glendale AZ and know a good place locally to get one give me a call.
my cell is 949- 337-3955
Thanks
Craig

Call the local pawn shops immediately and let them know. Most of the times stolen items end up there pretty quickly

Well, good thing you got insurance cuz I'd hate to see someone have to 'save up' on another DVX.........

hey i had my harley stolen from security parking garage. i had told the police there are witnesses i have their phone # they said we'll handle it the detective said. icalled the parking attendant days ,weeks, months later no police ever showed up. it was someone who worked there! my point is **** the COPS investigate yourself

Watch Ebay, two of my cameras were stolen, one ended up on ebay. The cops bid on it and won, got a warrant and went in and got about half of my stuff back. The camera had been damaged where the thief tried to pull a tape out as the cops came in. The court order him to pay restitution for the rest of my gear, but it turned out he was wanted for murder, never got a dime never will. But I leave nothing in a vehicle unattended. I hope the best for you, post the serial number everywhere you can.

Jarred, that might be a good list somewhere here, let people post the serial numbers and description of stolen property. Just a thought.

That's a great idea.
This site gets enough traffic that hopefully it would make a difference.

I've always kept a list of all the serial numbers of all my gear, just in case something like this happened I would have all the info in one place ready to be referenced.

A guy I used to work with kept a "in case of stolen gear" folder.
In it he had a list of all his serial numbers, photos of the gear, and a list of all the places he should call in case it got stolen (pawn shops, police, etc).

A bit paranoid I suppose, and he's never had to use it, but a good idea none the less.

I just had to go out and look...my bike is still here!

If someone wants your stuff they will take it. The cops might find it. The best bet is good insurance.
