First off, I read all the responses regarding my car accident and I'm going to respond to them all when I have some more time. I'm still hurting but I have my casting set up for this afternoon in NYC and don't have time to rest and heal, lol, the show must go on and I should be there.
With that said, I just spoke with Gerry again and this film is growing more and more as the days count down to filming time. Since he runs FIST (google it) he asked if I would be comfortable if I permitted him to use this film on ESPN And Showtime for boxing events and fight nights. He is very well tied with them and other organizations and has agreements with them to air material relative to his non profit organization's mission. My short is just about line for line what FIST is about and he's totally stoaked about being in the film and getting it out on these networks broadcastings.
So, why am I telling you all of this? Besides the fact that I love this site and I love you guys (I think that's the near death experience talking) I need some advice on technical issues. If I'm filming for myself then no biggie but I don't want this piece to fail because of quality or technical things.
Remember I'm still fairly new to filmmaking so don't call me an idiot all together.
I usually film in F5 and F6. If this is going to be broadcasted on places like ESPN and Showtime then is there anything that I need to know regarding filming differently? I've read in a few places something about filming certain ways to look good for broadcasting through networks but can't remember what it was about nor where I found it.
Thanks guys, I appreciate all of your help and can't wait to see the day that this actually is aired (god willing) and to see the a special thanks to DVXUser.com shown at the end, how cool would that be?!
Also, I still need some help with production so if anyone is willing to join the festivities of filming this then shoot me a PM so we can work it out.
Again thanks,
Jay
