before 'my bad', it was 'my fault'- i hated that more. but my bad is something people use when they dont want to say im sorry. it's like a lesser sorry then just sorry.

Yah, what the hell is that supposed to mean?

Do people somehow think that by saying, "My bad" when they make an error, that it completely negates the problem in and of itself?

What needs to happen is all these people need to be lured into a spaceship with lots of bling bling and trendy clothes, and ofcourse Beyonce/Chingy (depending on sexual orientation) and launched into the sun.

But maybe I'm overreacting

It all depends who you are saying it to. If I was hanging with highly sophistacated conservative folks, I would say "I'm sorry" if I were to make a mistake. Now on the other hand, If I was hanging around in the HOOD, "my bad" would be the better choice. BLING BLING!

"My Bad" as I know it stems from the court (basketball); usually when a play is developing and it gets screwed up or not executed someone (usually by the recipient of a pass or a blown pass) say's "My Bad...".
