Well just found out it's going to be a girl! :) I'm getting more and more excited and anxious. Only 5 more months... sigh....

I just read about a new amnio procedure where they can tell if your baby is going to shoot with a DVX or XL2.

Of course you won't be able to buy any gear for some time, so these handy lines may help--

"Oh bibs? I thought you said pick up some jibs."

"Look what Daddy got you. A nice dolly--and some curved and straight track."

"You're really going to want me to have a softbox for documenting the birthing process. Trust me."

And the number one way to wheedle some post-birth gear--lots of baby footage, lap dissolves, and Heather's favorite soft music.

i was trying to get a friend to shoot the birth of his kid, but he just wouldnt do it....
