i am happy to say that i will finally be an "official" dvxuser =) i just ordered a dvx100a today and it will arrive on friday...i can finally get rid of my vhs camera and 2 betamax recorders and get into some serious nle digital video production ;D

taylor, i actually had a vx-1000 which i sold last year so my gear has been collecting dust!  i've had that camera since 1997 and was always trying to find a way to get my footage to look like film...i used cinelook, NLE techniques...but still not the look i wanted.  the closest look i got to film was shooting in low light so i can have grain since the vx-1000 was crappy in low light  ;)  happy to finally be part of the dvx family and not an outsider looking in  8)

...and yes! i do have friday off...i will keep looking out the window everytime i hear a UPS type truck coming by(damn sparkletts water)! i betcha i'm not the only one!

OF course when you do finally get it you'll have to charge the battery. That part hurt more than any! :P

I still don’t get this “battery charge wait” thing. Plug it into the friggin’ wall! Your first footage is going to be in your kitchen or living room anyway . . .

my battery had some charge when it was in the box, it lasted about 2 minutes. so the wall plug it was immediatley therafter!!

whohoo! camera left the ups facility and is out for delivery :D only a few hours til i'm officially a dvxuser... ;)
