My 1st REAL contribution!!

So I guess I sorta jumped on the Digital Filmaking bandwagon at a weird time, during the transition to HD and haven't bought a camera yet because like everyone else...I want to wait for the HVX.....so in the meantime I've been working on some audio projects.

I finally got myself a damn Mac after all my preaching about how much windows sucks!! I loaded up Protools and Garageband and have been working on some original score that I think has alot of potential. I have posted my first two efforts below. The tracks are ambient stuff that I think would go good with a thriller / horror flick. Let me know what you guys think. Remember....this is my 1st ever attempt at creating ORIGINAL score....this is not some Soundtrack loops!! If it sucks.....then so be it!! I can handle the *Positive Reinforcement*!!

If anyone actually *does* like what they hear, I'll gladly write some stuff for who ever wants it for FREE!! Hint, Hint, Zombie Films, Hint, Hint!! So...here it is:

Those sounds are really good. Definatlely a very creepy/horror feel to both of them. Good Job!

Good stuff for a first attempt. I think the deeper bass sounds really helped the second track... perhaps you could work some bass sounds into the first track? I think it would serve as a contrast to the high pitched noises.

I believe that music can make or break a movie. Keep working and improving and filmmakers will be knocking down your door for your tunes!

Both are a little tinny for my taste, but they would be something truly cool with some good low end to offset the highs.

The sound design itself is good, and it definately sounds "creepy", especially wih the echoing, off tempo tonal changes, and envelope tweaks.

Maybe something as simple as just a slow paced counter low end (like a bizarre zombie march) would fill her up.
