I have clips that i recorded on my hpx170 at 12fps 24p-720pN and they play at the intended speed in camera but in premiere all of sudden they are moving in slow speed instead of fast?? Anybody know why that is? Do you have to interpret footage at 12fps even though its 24p-720pN?

I'm using premiere cs4 (aka the buggiest version of them all) on a PC, quad core- 8 gb ram.

damn, nobody knows why this is happening?? My slo mo footage is not slow nor is my fast speed fast, is there something I can do or is it a bug or ...??

to repeat, it is correct in the camera (hpx170 just in premiere its been messing up.. and to think about it now,it is when I updated premiere to the newest version BUT I had to because premiere was freezing upon loading my files and when I updated that solved that problem but created this one!! sheesh.. why did adobe release this version without getting rid of the bugs!

any help is appreciated..

interperate the footage at the same frame rate as the timeline, e.g. if you're working on a 24p timeline, sert the fps to 24. the same goes for 30p etc.

once on the timeline, adjust the speed using the time remapping

You shouldn't have to do that with a 24pN file; that's the point -- the time remapping is done in-camera and the file is ready to go.
