for octava you can use extention barel inside the zeppeline

I didn't know that. It may be a way to save the $ for the kssm and BBG. You could use the extra $240 to upgrade to the AT4073a ($550). I would still like dedicated stuff though (that is what I did and my mic lives there). I would buy the same setup again (kssm, bbg gitzo 12'5" CF pole, 302)

yeah, its a good solution (the xlr barrel thing). only issue can be if you need to run and gun something and want to change mics quickly. the kzep rocks, but it can take a while to change the mic in it, thats just how its designed.
