MXO vs blackmagic intensity pro

Would there be any benefit of using an mxo as opposed to a blackmagic card going to an NTSC broadcast monitor? I work on a mix of HD and SD footage and am currently monitoring via firewire but I'd like to be able to watch HD footage playback and Grade in color.

if you're using an actual broadcast monitor (not just a tv) then the MXO won't really benefit you. you'll be able to send either composite or component (preferred) with either one.

I am running an mxo to dual cinema displays and one sony ntsc monitor via the mxo, the mxo gives you a proper downconverted signal of HD to SD
unless I misunderstood the question, I have graded for broadcast in SD and HD with the mxo for over a year now and I have never had the material kicked back

I guess the main question is whether or not the blackmagic downconverts HD to SD any more or less accurately than the mxo
