I've used their studio mics before and were pretty pleased with them, but I just noticed they had shotgun mics as well. Anyone own one or has used one? Thoughts?
I'm still learning how to use it, and my first efforts were peaking a lot. It is very hot with 48v power. I lowered it to 24v, a nice feature of the Zoom. Not sure if this will help or hurt signal to noise, as opposed to just turning down levels.
I really can't compare to other brands, since I've never used them. I can say that the off axis rejection is better than my cardioid, but the more expensive mics probably do a better job.
It rolls off at 18KHz, which is fine for my purposes. For the price, why the hell not?
