I see they also have a product called "MXF Unwrapper." From the description, it seems to seperate the metadata from the video. Does anyone know if this would work to unwrap DVCPRO50 files from MXF files? If so, one could use the free codec to work with DVCPRO50 files within Vegas...
I got the MOG player trial edition and it recognizes the P2 files, but playback for me on 16:9 files ends up as 4:3.
I also downloaded the MOG Scribe program which is supposed to do everything in unwrap and conversion of P2 mxf to Sony mxf--my thought was to do that and import them into Vegas. It must be something I am doing wrong because Scribe doesn't recognize the P2 mxf. But since I have a month to try it out maybe I will figure how it works. Only one BIG problem besides the above is it's a 1200 dollar program.
These tools stop working at DVCPRO50. They DO NOT work for DVCPRO HD or the 720P/30PN format or the 720P/24PN format (which are not DVCPRO HD formats).
