Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, 300 is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite.

I saw the trailer for this in the theatre on Friday. To me it felt like Sin City in that it looked pretty but after awhile that got old and I was bored. I really love Miller's graphic novels a lot, but this felt like every other Gladiator-esque movie that's come out since...well Gladiator. Add a cool look to it and BAM! 300.

I hope the movie is more interesting than the trailer.
