Music video

Hi Everyone,

So It looks like i'm going to be directing a music video for a group of friends, who have a local Heavy Metal band.

I have a canon 550D and have access to lighting equipment, a decent tripod and im trying to get hold of a slider for my tripod as well.

What i would really appreciate would be some advice on how i go about the performance side of the shoot.
obviously i will have to film the band mutable times but how should i go about it?

any help would really be appreciated

Well, the obvious thing you're going to need is some sort of speaker system to pump their music in for them to mime to. Other than that, I tend to think your choice of locations go a big way towards informing what the talent should be doing.

I was working at a shop off of 3rd when Blink 182 were shooting their running naked through the streets video for whatever song that was. They kept playing that freaking song over and over--it was very annoying.
