Music Video sound sync: advice?

We're shooting a low budget music video on the dvx, any advice to make editing easier in terms of the sound sync? we're just playing the ipod through an amp and i was just going to use the camera's internal mic to pick up the sound. Is there something easy I will have wished I had done to make syncing the audio easier/more exact? Thanks!

I've done all kinds of sync methods, but syncing visually the waveforms seems to be the easiest.

Be sure to add a 4 beat click track to the begining to help the musicians get up to speed. We didn't have one on the last shoot and I'm not sure if we have any usable intro footage out of the 20 or so takes we did. We shall see in edit...
