Music video shot with the DVX100a and PS Technik mini 35 400

hey everyone I directed a music video for a band called Hand to Hand and they just posted it on there site so I am posting the link here.

the video was shot with a DVX100a with the Mini 35 400 adapter , all but one of the lenses we used were Nikon still photography lenses and there is Lens Baby 2.0 used in a few of the shots. I am posting this here because before I purchased the Mini 35 I was trying very hard to find any info and see examples using Nikon photography lenses and I figured I would help anyone out who is looking for the same info.

Here are a list of the lenses that were used

Nikon 14mm 2.8
Nikon 28mm 1.4
Nikon 35mm 1.4
Nikon 50mm 1.4
Nikon 85mm 1.4
Nikon 80-200 2.8 ( the older push pull lens)

Lens Baby 2.0 ( it’s a plastic bendy lens )

I will try to answer any questions anyone has about the shoot

Video looks great! Its amazing what DOF does to really make it look like film and not Video.

Is there anyway to see a full rez version?

I really wish they had a version without the guy screaming, I love metal, but if you cant sing.. STFU ;)

Too bad you couldn't torch the shed..

what dolly did you use?

Did you mess with any of the camera settings.. like ped or color?

How much color correction did you do in post?

Ben

nice video.
the band is a bit generic, but thats not your fault :)
do those nikon lenses simply attach straight to the dvx lens, or is there a special adapter that you need to buy.
also, looking back on the shoot, do you think those lenses were necessary to achieve the look you were going for?
i to am interested in picking up a couple of those still photography lenses if that is really what helped you achieve some of those beautiful shots.
thanks.
