Music Video Pricing

at first that seemed rediculous, editing in 1 day, but if you can get a metal band in a warehouse, set up some lights and run the camera all over the place, I could actually see "finishing" it in one all nighter.

this of coarse isnt for every occasion, but good call!

Yes, you're getting my drift. The band will LOVE you! And, they'll come back for more! Spend more time on the second video for "artistic reasons" but the first one will have them hooked. Charge more for the second one, too.

I don't know nothing about makeing music videos, but the first rule of negotiation is; The first person to name a price, loses.

Like DVX100Shooter said find out what their budget is first, that will go along way toward figuring out what you can and cant do with them.

A good way to work with lowballers who want a cheap video is to offer a one day shoot for whatever amount they want to spend, run home, edit the thing, and give them a copy of the "finished" video the following day and it will impress the daylights of out of them.

Then wait.

They will inevitably call you back for more videos. And, seeing as how quickly you work, they will want bigger videos with more locations and will want to spend more money with you.

No Joke.

cool wells... can you show us some music videos you did like this?
