Music Video Makes a Comeback

Wow, just watched most the vids from that third link. I am now intensely inspired.

I love music videos, they're a lot of fun to do, that's how I started off and where I learned a lot of the basics. I'd love to do more music video work in the future, if it comes my way, but working with unsigned artists is untenable since none of them have any money, lol. I also think I'd just stick to rock videos because the rest really don't appeal to me. I hate hip hop and most rap, and pop could be ok to make videos for if it wasn't awful (most is), but mostly I think rock is the most fun. Since there's not much money in music videos, there's no point in doing ones you don't like, you have to be into the music.

Oh yeah, I've shot and edited a few music videos. You had better like the music, because you are going to hear it more times then you ever really would want to by the time you are done.

Uhh yeah, haha, to say the least! I get sick of any song by the end of that process. You probably hear a song 75 to 125 times, between hearing it at least a dozen times before you shoot the video just trying to come up with the concept, if not a few dozen times. Then on the shoot itself you'll hear it another dozen to twenty times, then in editing is where it really starts to add up and you hear the damn thing repeatedly haha.
