Music video colour grade

So I'm doing a music video for a dubstep producer. It's a fairly depressing song (lyrics wise) and we have opted for a cooler, blue look.

Basically, this is what I've come up with. Personally, I think it's too overdone...but the guy likes it. So I would like some of your opinions. Have I over done the look? Should i keep or remove the vignette?

For context, it is a dubstep song with slightly depressing lyrics.

It's hard to really form an opinion on an entire color grade based one shot. If you could post some more examples, particularly an example of what you did with the skin tones (if there are any people in the video), that would really helpful.

But for the particular shot you posted, I do like it for the most part. My only real issue is that the vignetting forces the perspective to the clouds (not helped by the camera angle), which makes us miss a lot of the buildings, especially if this shot only lasts for a second or two. Perhaps think about taking the vignetting down a notch, to lessen the tunnel vision effect.

Well, the shots of the main vocalists haven't been done yet. The song is still in development and I'm shooting mainly b-roll and timelapses first. (It is a timelapse-based music video). Basically, the idea for the video is to have timelapse footage intercut with shots of the vocalist in the studio.

But I agree, it's a tad too intense.

Here are some other shots I've graded. Reduced the vignette intensity.
How is it?
