This one has a very funny story in it. You see that bare lightbulb in the center of the hallway, it's always in the shot with the singer. Anyways, those very same shots caused this video to get the best photographed music video year award. And because of that award that band has now signed to a multi dollar contract with a large record label. So the story goes like this....
One day the Gaffer was up hanging on the rafter above the very same hallway. While the gaffer was up there, he acidentaly bumped the work light and it fell right the lead singers head almost causing a fatal injury. The director told the lead singer to go walk by there again and says "this is it! The shot I"m looking for!". The director ran up to the Gaffer and said, "is this bare light bulb your idea"? The Gaffer was nervous because he thought he was in hot water for almost knocking out the lead singer with a bare bulb. A PA happened to be walking by and the Gaffer said "thats him! That's the guy who almost caused the accident, Thats him!" The Director asked the PA in a very intimidating voice and the PA was so nervous he said "yeah,..... that's mm-meee". Anyways, to make a long story short, that PA told the Director to fire the Gaffer because he wouldn't accept his suggestion. I wonder how this Gaffer feels about watching the PA walk up stage to accept the award????
But really, if you try to decipher this video all in the first shot, it will cause you to grow a third head cause you won't be able to fit everything inside the one you have now.
