i'm shooting a music video in a couple of days and it's also gonna be the first time i shoot slow motion
so i need to get a version of the track playing at double speed for the band to sync to....
since i got a mac i haven't really edited much audio, except in FCP.
in FCP i can adjust the speed of the track but - as far as i can tell - not the pitch. so doubling the speed also doubles the pitch, turning it into a chipmunk-like farce.
moreover, i imagine that since FCP has to conform audio to a video timebase, a (for example) 50% speed reduction will not be exactly 50%, if you know what i mean. and this could cause sync problems in the edit.
so what i'm asking in a long-winded way is this.... can anyone recommend a shareware program for mac that will let me adjust the speed AND pitch of an audio file? so i can, for example, have double playback but with the original pitch.
