Just thought, there is no place for people to discuss music as an aspect of filmmaking. Maybe a thread for it could provide a lot of useful information. I know it would have helped me on many occasions (and probably will in the future if there is one)
Here are some of the things I think could be there, that would make it much easier than searching the forums:
-Royalty Free Production Music sites that people have had good/bad experiences with (would make finding music from a reliable place easier)
-People locally who score music for films/television (maybe a sub-thread of people looking for work like that)
-Selecting the right type of music (like how the right music can intensify the roller coaster ride your story takes the audience on)
I don't know. I'm working on a short film now, and really can't get the songs I want because of copyright issues. A thread like this would be really helpful now, and on my future projects.
Thanks,
Joe
