Music Artist Search

[WhiteWood]

I just moved to Los Angeles to chase 'The Dream'. Meanwhile, I'm shooting music videos to pay the rent. I got paid for and shot two already to pay for rent for two months. July is the third month and I haven't booked anything. Kinda getting desperate, because I refuse to get a job. Never needed one and I'm not about to start now. SO my question to you:

Where online can I link up with music artist looking to get their music videos shot @? Is there a website dedicated to music artist like this site is for film that I can join real fast? If you shoot videos for cash, how do u find your artist?

I manage a hip hop group and find a lot of people who want music videos at shows we are at and then people at the music video shoot who are artists that come down to support their friend. Go find flyers for clubs and go to the green room and smooze. I know its much easier for me since I manage and I talk to these people on a regular but I can't see why you couldn't get in there too.

There's http://bandmix.com/

I don't know how active the forums are since I haven't really had time to check out the site, but it may be helpful for you.

Checking it out now, thanx!

You can always try myspace. Look for bands around you and just approach them.
