friday evening there was a showing of "Murderball" attended by the directors and mark zupan in chelsea, we arrived late and saw the next showing; they seemed very cool. i didn't get to ask them any questions.

the doc was very good, i thought the DVX footage looked awesome, especially when juxtaposed against the PD150 footage, you can really tell the difference. it was honestly like night and day.

either way all of my production crew thought that the DVX footage was kick ass!

i recommend this movie to just about anyone. superbly edited.

I would LOVE to see this film, but it isnt playing anywhere near me. Cant find it anywhere except out in Southern Cali and somewhere up in like New York or soemthing. :( I guess I will have to wait for Netflix, if and when.

I saw it this weekend and thought it was a compelling doc. As far as I know, Murderball and Mad Hot Ballroom are the only flicks I've seen on the big screen that have DVX footage in them. I thought Murderball looked good, but I wouldn't say I was blown away. Well, it looked great for a $3500 camera, but still comes nowhere near film or professional HD. Not that we should expect it to come close. However, everyone in the theater was too wrapped up in the story to say, "Gee, it's entertaining, but the video quality isn't as good as Revenge of the Sith". So content still rules. Tell a good story and people will embrace it.

Anyway, those are my thoughts.

Cheers,

Josh

funny, the whole time i sat in the theatre watching revenge of the sith i kept saying to my self, "gee impressive effects, but the screenply and acting sucks in this film."

Content is everything!

oh there were some effects i thought were cheesy and lame
