Multiple preview windows

I am making my first attempt at editing two camera footage. I have placed my "A" camera footage in the Video track, place the "B" footage in the overlay track, and used the audio tracks to sync them. How would I go about viewing the tracks in separate preview windows, so I can select which angle to use?

Thanks for your help.

You can't view them in full at the same time. There's only one preview window. But you can toggle the mute on the upper track to switch back and forth. Or, you can lower the opacity of the upper to see both. Or, you can crop the upper and see both.

Or, you can view one from the media pool in the Trimmer, but it won't be on the timeline.

Thanks David.

I've tried your first two suggestions. I'll give your third a try. Sure would be nice to see them side by side.

You know what? Scratch that. If you have Vegas 8, you can use the multicam tools -- I was focused on having two actual preview windows, which you can't do, but you can view multiple takes (smaller) in the preview window.

Go into help and/or the manual under multicam editing, bringing in takes, selecting them, etc. You will probably have to redo what you've already done to take advantage of the tools, but you'll at least get to see them all at once.

I can't offer a lot of personal guidance, because I don't do multicam shoots (though I just did one under special circumstances), but it should help you out in this regard.
