Multiclip Syncing

I just did a shoot with 2 cams: my DVX and a cheap Canon FS-100. I got them in the same format and created a multiclip but the problem now is that they are totally off sync and we never did a flash or clap sync. How do I sync them together so I can switch between them? I have FCS 5.

You have to find the same point in time in each clip, put an In Point and use that to sync them up.

Neither the in or out points are at the same time though...

*You* have to find the same point in time on both clips and add an In Point at that point in time. Since you didn't slate or anything you just have to watch the footage. For example, if you shot a baseball game you could use the batter hitting the ball as a sync point (assuming both cameras had a good angle on the batter) or if you shot a wedding you could use a camera flash as a sync point.

How do you set an in point?

The 'i' key.

Do I do that before or after the creation of a multiclip.

Before. That way when you create the multiclip you can set it to sync by the in (or out) point.
