to not have to buy a lot of "gear" check out VT-4. Its software based switcher, you can have playlists of b-reels, titles, audio, and then you buy a nutech (i dont know the spelling) break out box. You can run all the cameras in to it, and then back out for recording each camera line.(or just record on the camera's tape) You can run HD through it also.
if you search for Arnold Classic webcast, I am acutally running that system this friday and saturday at some lame bodybuilding comp in ohio, but you can atleast see its capabilites. were going to have 4 cams for the stage, and 2 back stage. maybe you'll even see arnold himself! haha
