multicamera editing - editing original video track

Hello, hope all is well, need a little assistance.

I successfully (well almost) performed a multicam edit in vegas and everything looks good except for the fact that the original video track number 2 is a different tone than track 1.

I thought that after the mulitcam edit was done, that somehow I would be able to go back and see my full original 2 tracks so that I can apply a brightness and contrast plug to track 2, but I can't seem to figure out how to do that, and I don't think copying and pasting the plug to all the little clip cuts in multicamera mode is the trick.

Does anyone know how to see the original entire track 2?

thanks for your time,
Luis

There is no way to automatically split multicam tracks. You can, however, do it manually.

Select you multicamera track, go track options, and expand track. This will allow you to see the different takes on different layers.

If you don't already have a second video track below your multicamera track, create one. Now select all of your "camera 2" clips that need correction, and hit the "2" key on your numeric keypad to drop them down onto video track 2. Or you can drag and drop them.

Now you are free to correct those clips individually, or apply a correction to the entire video track 2.

If you are going to be doing multicam again in the future, take a look at Ultimate S from VASST. You may prefer its multicam tool to the one built into Vegas.

there is another way, select the original files in your project media bin,
right click, and apply fx to the source clip/s.
as strangeways points out it can be done by separating tracks, its just easier from the project media bin.
cheers guys.
